EARLY SATURDAY morning, members of the Honiara Solomon Islands District of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gathered in the Memorial Gardens at Henderson Field.

AS PART of the beginning of the Lent season, students studying at various church-owned schools in Honiara yesterday held prayers to mark Ash Wednesday.

CHRISTIANS IN the Anglican and Roman Catholic Church will begin their annual lent season as of Wednesday tomorrow.
