Don Bosco offers media course

STUDENTS, TEACHERS, and all those keen to learn more about the media are encouraged to sign up for a two-week course to be held at the Don Bosco Technical College this month.

Up to 14 places are available for the media education short course, which will touch on all facets of the print, visual, audio and electronic media. 

Participants will be introduced to the media, news writing, and the internet, learn the basics of Microsoft Publisher and In Design, and master camera techniques and tricks.

Course trainers will focus on spreading positive values to enhance respect and harmony of people. 

The course will run from Monday, June 28 to Friday, July 9 from 8 am-3pm each day (not including weekends). 

Entry is open to Form 5 participants between the ages of 20 to 25 years, teachers and youth leaders or anyone with an interest in the media. The last day to register is Monday, June 21.

Admission and course fees are $300.00 for adults and $150.00 for students. 

Application forms are available from Don Bosco Technical College, Henderson, or from the Catholic Communications Solomons office behind the Church of the Holy Cross, Honiara.
