BY BRADFORD THEONOMI

The Commission of Inquiry into land dealings and Abandoned Properties on Guadalcanal yesterday made another appeal to the public.

The appeal is for any interested person who has issues to be raised before the Commission of Inquiry.

Christopher Waiwori, Secretary to the Commission said this includes those that have matters relating to acquisition and occupation of customary lands on Guadalcanal by persons from other Provinces.

He made the appeal saying it includes also those with any matters relating to land dealings and properties (“lost property”) on Guadalcanal which were lost or abandoned by settlers.

Mr Waiwori said persons having related matters as such should contact the office of the Commission of Inquiry immediately.

The Commission made the appeal after the first public hearing that was held early last month.
